2. Collection and Storage of Personal Data
Hosting & Server Log Files
This website is hosted on a server operated by Strato AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin. When you visit our website, the following data is automatically recorded in server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the file accessed
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL
Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and uninterrupted provision of this website). Data is deleted after a maximum of 7 days.
Contact Form and Childcare Enquiries
When you contact us via our contact or registration form, we store the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, details about your child) in order to process your enquiry and any follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on to third parties. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
The data entered in the form will be retained until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent, or the purpose of storage no longer applies. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
3. Cookies
Technically Necessary Cookies
Our website uses technically necessary cookies that are required for its operation. No consent is required for these (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). They do not contain personal data and are deleted when you close your browser.
Language Preference Cookie (kita_lang)
We set a cookie named kita_lang to remember your preferred language
(German or English). This cookie contains only the language code ("de" or "en") and
no personal data. It is set on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the
website in your chosen language (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is valid for 1 year. You can
remove it at any time by clearing your browser cookies.
We do not use tracking cookies or third-party cookies on this website.
4. Web Analytics (Matomo)
We use Matomo, a self-hosted web analytics tool, to analyse the use of our website. Matomo runs on our own server (analytics.kita-apfelbaum.de) — no data is shared with third parties. We operate Matomo in cookieless mode (no cookies are set) and with IP anonymisation enabled. No personal data is stored.
The data collected includes: pages visited, approximate time of access, referrer URL, browser type and screen resolution. This data cannot be used to identify individual visitors.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in improving our website).
5. Google Ads Conversion Tracking
We use Google Ads conversion tracking (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
We have implemented Google Consent Mode v2 with all consent categories set to "denied" by default. This means: no cookies are set, no personal data is stored on your device, and no personally identifiable data is transmitted to Google. Google receives only anonymous, aggregated signals (so-called "cookieless pings") that cannot be traced back to individual visitors.
