Anyone looking for a nursery place for the first time quickly realises: it's a process. Waiting lists, deadlines, forms – and in between, the question of whether the setting is even the right fit.
We want to make this process as transparent as possible. Here's how things work at Kita Apfelbaum.
Who can apply?
We care for children from 0 to 3 years old. We're based in Hamburg Poppenbüttel, easily accessible for families from the north of Hamburg.
How does registration work?
The first step is joining our waiting list – directly through the form on this website. We ask for details about your desired start date, the hours of care you need, and of course about your child.
Once a place becomes available, we'll invite you for a personal conversation. We want to get to know you and your child – and you should get to know us.
What comes next?
After the conversation, there are settling-in visits and a gradual introduction to the setting, which we design individually and gently. We follow the Berlin settling-in model and adapt the pace to each child.
